The Challenge
This project was a personal challenge: to create high-impact, photorealistic visuals of athletes in extreme, surreal environments—like running over lava or through heavy rain. The goal was to push the boundaries of visual storytelling using a combination of AI-generated imagery, creative retouching, and expert visual composition.
The Solution
To visually express the resilience and unstoppable spirit of the athletes, we conceptualized two powerful and contrasting scenarios: one set in a volcanic landscape with flowing lava, and another in the midst of an intense downpour. In both scenes, the runners never stop — they move forward with determination, highlighting the endurance and quality of the footwear under the most extreme conditions.
